Welcome to our 17th Annual Twister-A-Thon Fundraiser, our largest event of the year. The Twister-A-Thon (like a Walkathon) takes place during school hours to raise money for our PTO. Students collect flat amount pledges from family members, friends, and neighbors.
The goal is to raise $14,000.00 and we can do this if every student contributes $25.00.
100% of all donations go directly to the PTO to assist in school improvements, events, assemblies, staff appreciation, field trips and so much more!

If you have a student entering into Kindergarten at HBT you should have received an email with information pertaining to how to sign up for a screening. If you did NOT receive an email, please contact the school office at 847-464-6008. Screeners are done on August 15th & 16th in person at HBT and will last one hour.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- July 21st – Information sent to families about how to sign up for a screener.
- August 15th & 16th is Kindergarten Screenings. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
- August 17th from 2 – 3 pm is Supply Drop off/Meet Your Teacher
- August 18th is the first day of school for our EC and Kindergarten students.
- August 25th is the Back to School Night for parents to attend. This will be held from 5:20 – 8:00pm. A schedule for the event will be coming out soon. You are not expected to stay for the entire time frame.
August will be here before we know it! Here is a list of school health exams that will be due for students entering these grades for the 2022-23 school year. These forms should be submitted before your student starts school in August.
- Health Requirements
- Physical Exams: Early Childhood, Kindergarten, 6th Grade, and 9th Grade
- Immunizations: Early Childhood, Kindergarten, 6th Grade, 12th grade
- Dental Exams: Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 6th Grade, and 9th Grade
- Eye Exams: Kindergarten
- Individual Health Plans and/or Medication forms must be updated/renewed each school year.
- Students who “self-carry” epi-pens or inhalers must have an updated healthcare plan and parent consent to self-carry on file in the Nurse’s office.
