1, 2, 3 Important Items from the Health Office
- Please remember the 3 C’s in preventing spread of illness:
Clean your hands
Cover your nose and mouth
Contain your germs
Also, be sure your children dress for the weather, get plenty of rest & eat a healthy diet.
When calling your child in absent please report their symptoms such as: fever, cough, stomach ache, vomiting, etc. This will help us accurately complete the required report to the Kane County Health Dept.
- Did you know….January is Kawasaki Disease Awareness Month. For more information, please visit: http://www.kdfoundation.org/
- Staying hydrated is the key! Often we see students in the nurse’s office for headaches. When asked how much water they’ve had to drink, like most of us, the amount consumed is far less than what our body requires. A few common signs and symptoms of dehydration include: Increased thirst, Fatigue, Dizziness & Headache.
Water is one of the body’s most essential nutrients and is the cornerstone for all body functions. Please encourage your student to bring a water bottle to school and drink throughout the day.
